Finance Manager

Job summary

 

This diverse role, with particular focus on strategy and improvements to the Finance function of Boyce, facilitates the Directors to make better strategic decisions. The successful incumbent can be based at either our Dubbo or Wagga offices, or in a remote capacity.

 

What will you do?

 

Working closely with the Finance Director, the Boyce Finance Manager will focus on strategy and improvements to the Finance function of Boyce.

 

The Finance Manager will challenge the Directors regarding the financial performance of the Firm including profitability, cashflow, WIP and debtor’s management, as well as improvement of KPI’s and growth of the business and help us to achieve the longer-term Financial Metrics.

 

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Financial strategy input, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting
  • Lead the preparation and development of finance and management reports including cash flow projections, budgets and forecasting.
  • Develop financial components of the Strategic plans, budgets and re-forecasts.
  • Provide insight and interpretation of financial information produced by the finance team.
  • Liaise with all areas of the business and working closely with Directors to provide information and analysis that will facilitate decision making and improve efficiencies.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
  • Manage a small team to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Project management and implementation

 

About You

To be successful in this role, candidates must be CPA or CA qualified with at least 5 years’ experience, the skills to manage the accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable budgeting and asset management.

  • High level technical and analytical skills
  • Well-developed leadership skills with a collaborative personality and the ability to manage, coach and lead a remote team
  • Strong commercial acumen and focus on continuous improvement to drive better organisational performance
  • You will be a motivated professional with exemplary communication skills
  • Practical MYOB and XERO skills
